A cat buries its face in its mouth as it eats and drinks water. Each of these small actions becomes a part of everyday life.
The "TAJIMI / food & water bowl set" is a pair of bowls designed to make it easy for cats to eat and drink, and is suited to their movements. The food bowl is a comfortable height designed to allow cats to eat in a natural position. The water bowl is approximately 14cm high, allowing cats to drink water without straining their necks or joints.
The vessels are made using brown clay that has been passed down from generation to generation in Tajimi, a town famous for its pottery, and are carefully finished to bring out the richness of the material. By leaving the glaze partially in place, the fluctuations and temperature of the clay are revealed as the expression of the vessel - this is the beauty that is unique to the TAJIMI series.
The base is made of solid walnut, adding weight and stability. The bowl is removable and microwave and dishwasher safe, making it easy to use even during busy days. It comes in two colors: white and black. The white reflects light gently, while the black brings out the color of the ingredients, creating a beautiful space for the bowl and the dish.
Both bowls are just the right size (approximately 14.5cm in diameter) for a cat's face to fit snugly, and are shaped to prevent their whiskers from hitting the food, making it easy to eat from.
