The bowl that just works, every day.

MOG BOWL is a bowl that brings a quiet ease to your cat's mealtimes. What decides it is the height: around 10 cm. A bowl set too low pulls the neck down and breaks the natural line of the body. At a height that meets the cat instead, kittens and senior cats alike can lower their face without strain. The wide, deep bowl shape works for food or for water, and holds up the ordinary business of eating.

The right height changes how easily they eat.

A bowl that sits too low pulls the posture out of shape, and that becomes a load at every meal. The 10 cm pedestal lets cats from kittens to adults eat with their posture intact.

The right amount, at the right depth.

Around 12 cm across and 5 cm deep (4.7 × 2.0 in), holding roughly 80 g of dry food or 200 ml of water. The shape gathers the food together and keeps it from being pushed over the edge.

Set it down, and the corner settles.

The shinogi facets cut into the foot catch the light and throw a soft shadow. Composed enough to sit in your room, and in your cat's day, without argument.

360 g - the right weight.

Enough weight that it doesn't slide or tip while your cat eats, and light enough to handle. Mino ware porcelain releases marks easily, and it's microwave and dishwasher safe.

Five colors, for your cat and your room.

White, Black, Pink Beige, Blue Gray and Stone Gray. Stone Gray is glossy; the other four are matte, with the faceting on the foot as a quiet detail.

Made one at a time, by hand.

Each piece is made by hand in a workshop in Tajimi, Gifu. The movement in the glaze is the mark of that handwork, and the more you use it, the more the bowl becomes its own.

Set the whole feeding spot, not just the bowl.

For the surface underneath, there is the FIKA food mat.
Solid oak framing a ceramic tile, sized to take a food bowl and a water bowl side by side. Spills wipe away - there is nothing to wash. At around 2.2 kg it stays put even when your cat steps on it, and the wooden frame has a recess on each side so you can lift it easily.
