Good rattan, for the way they rest.

Supple rattan with a tight, close weave, lacquered and dyed to a settled antique brown. The glossy coating keeps the character of the material itself while adding both a finer surface and real durability.

Made to our specification by Rattan Style, a specialist workshop producing hotel-grade rattan pieces. Experienced craftspeople in Myanmar weave each one by hand, and once it arrives, a workshop in Japan puts in further work to bring the finish up before it ships.

It's sized to hold smaller cats comfortably - Scottish Folds, Munchkins, American Shorthairs and the like, up to around 5 kg. A basket made for a cat that still sits well in a room.

Rattan breathes, which makes it a comfortable bed in any season, and it's built solidly enough to stay with you. Start using it while your cat is a kitten, and when they outgrow it, it becomes a toy basket or storage for small things instead. The way the surface deepens with use is part of the pleasure of keeping it.
