CHALICE was developed with Midori Morioka, deputy director of Annie Animal Hospital, with one aim: a bowl that is genuinely kind to a cat. The 13 cm pedestal eases the load on the neck and joints. The shallow, gently flaring shape takes whiskers and regurgitation into account. With everything unnecessary stripped away, the straight-sided form carries a composed stillness and sits easily in a room. As a first bowl, or as the one that stays on the floor for years.

A low bowl pulls the neck down, and that load lands on the body at every meal. The 13 cm pedestal, designed with veterinary input, lets your cat eat with its posture intact. It's a kind height for senior cats too.

Each piece is finished by hand by experienced potters at a Mino ware kiln carrying on 1,300 years of the craft. No two pieces share the same glaze movement or depth of firing color - each one arrives with its own character.

Nine Japandi colors, where Japanese shadow meets Scandinavian softness. They settle quietly against your cat's coat and the air of your home.

A pale blue with grey in it. Where the glaze runs thin along the rim and edges, it takes on a natural amber tone. This is Asagi, the newest addition.
