Where art and cats meet.

KERI KERI is an &CAT exclusive, designed from the three-dimensional wire sculptures of HAyU - the artist Manabu Ogawa. The cat and the fish he shapes out of steel wire have been lifted straight onto fabric, so the print still carries the feel of the original sculpture.
Two motifs to choose from: Cat and Fish. Both are light in the hand, with a crinkle layer inside that crackles when your cat pounces on it.

Cat - "the marching calico"
This motif comes from HAyU's best-known Marching series. It was originally planned as a bronze, shown in profile, and the series has since become a favorite on goods and textiles. Here it is reimagined as a calico with more of a two-tone look to her, that cheerful walking pose translated into a soft toy. There is real humor and life in the way the form seems to be counting out each step.

Fish - "a horse mackerel, with a sense of play"
Built on the aji, or horse mackerel, one of HAyU's signature motifs. It is a fish everyone in Japan knows, redrawn here into a shape a cat can take to. It is close to life size, which makes it just right for your cat to wrap both front legs around. Even the scutes - the row of hard, spiny scales along its side - are picked out in wire, so it holds up as a sculpture too.

Your cat can kick and wrestle it, of course. But use the loop at the top and it hangs from a wall or a hook, turning into something closer to an art piece on the wall.
Each one is sewn with care in a factory here in Japan. It is something your cat will handle every day, so we held both the quality and the design to the same standard.
